Seniors Dining Program & Activities
The Village of Howards Grove, under agreement with the Sheboygan County Division of Aging, offers area seniors the opportunity for social interaction and nutritious meals. Sheboygan County provides the programming and meals, and the Village provides the site in the Howards Grove Community Room. Programming is offered in Howards Grove on Tuesdays.
Senior Dining is held in the Howards Grove Village Hall Community Room every Tuesday. People age 60 or better from all walks of life meet for hot, tasty noon meals and a variety of interesting speakers, entertainment and bingo. The suggested meal donation is $4 and dinner reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
Programs start at 11:00 am, with dinner following at noon. Various friendly card games like Skat and Sheepshead follow dinner for those who care to stay.
Monthly menu/program calendars are available on bulletin boards at the Cleveland State Bank, Kohler Credit Union and National Exchange Bank, as well as on the Village of Howards Grove website at www.howardsgrove.org.
To make a dinner reservation or for more information, please call the program manager at 467-9042.
Senior Dartball League
The Village of Howards Grove has a Seniors Dartball League team that plays home games on Mondays at the Community Center. The season runs during the school year, from September to April. The league includes eight teams from area communities including Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, Plymouth and Adell. It is a great opportunity to get together with others who enjoy baseball!
Anyone interested in playing is welcome to join them. People interested in playing should contact Dale Jeanty (828-0046) or Dick Goebel (565-2747) for more information.
They also have quite a cheering section, so anyone interested in just getting together and cheering on the team is also welcome to come!
